West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar says 'eagerly waiting' for Kali puja celebrations at Mamata Banerjee's residence
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has invited him to her residence on Kali puja and he was 'eagerly waiting' to be a part of the celebrations.
Right when Bengalis are getting over their Durga Puja hangovers arrives Diwali and Kali Puja. And keeping up with the old saying 'Baaro maashe tero parbon' (thirteen festivals in twelve months), Bengalis not only celebrate Kali Puja, but Diwali as well. Though the festivities aren't as big as that of Durga Puja, the enthusiasm is no less.

Mamata Banerjee wants to tame Diwali in Kolkata. No noise after 10 pm. No noisy fireworks at all. Promo videos with her own anti-noise pollution jingles on television. Is all the fun going out of Diwali? But some people like Sandip Roy are secretly quite thrilled.
