ATI Unveils New Products

In the newest refresh of its graphic cards ATI today announced its new VGA cards, which will ship on September 14.

The top end market gets the Radeon X1950 XTX/CrossFire which features GDDR4 memory support and sports an exclusive fansink. The card will be clocked at 650 MHz with 512 MB of Onboard memory. The new GPU will have 48 pixel shader processors, eight vertex shader engines and a 256-bit interface. It is expected to ship at a suggested price of US $449.

The mid-level market replacement is the Radeon X1650 Pro which has a clock speed of 600 MHz and sports 256 MB of GDDR3 memory which runs at a speed of 1.4 GHz. Graphics is well served by the 12 pixel shader. Five vertex shaders are present too along a 128 bit interface. This card is expected to ship at a cost of US$99.

The value market will be now be served by the Radeon X1300 XT, which operates at a clock speed of 500 MHz. It has 256 MB of DDR2 onboard memory which runs at 800 MHz. Graphics will be ably handed by the 12 pixel shaders, five vertex shaders which operate along a 128-bit interface. Products developed on this chipset are expected to be priced at US$79.
