Baaghi 2: Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani starrer to now release on 30 march, clash with Dutt biopic

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the producer of the action entertainer Baaghi 2, has announced that the Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani starrer will now release on 30 March instead of 27 April.

The first poster of Baaghi 2 was released in May last year that marked its release date as 27 April, 2018. But now, the makers have pulled it to an earlier date on 30 March which coincides with Good Friday.

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment already boasts of two successful franchises in the comedies Housefull and Judwaa. While David Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 made it to the Rs 100 crore club last year, Nadiadwala announced that Sajid Khan will return to direct Housefull 4 which will release on Diwali 2019.

However, his next franchise film, Baaghi 2, will clash with Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic of Sanjay Dutt , tentatively titled Dutt. The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer had locked the release date back in June last year.

Tiger will reprise his role as Ronnie in the sequel to the 2016 action film. While the first film of the franchise was directed by Sabbir Khan, choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan has been roped in to direct the sequel.
