Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed 'Panasonic T33' which is priced at Rs 4,490. It will be available in Pearl White and Duke Blue colour variants. The company has confirmed that the device will be available starting the third week of July.
The main USP of the smartphone is that it supports multiple languages and comes pre-loaded with support for 21 regional languages.
In terms of specifications, Panasonic T33 features a 4-inch WVGA TFT display with a 480 800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM.
In includes an internal storage at 4GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The Panasonic T33 comes equipped with a 3MP fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash along with a 0.3MP front facing camera.
The Panasonic T33 is a dual-SIM device which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. The device packs in a 1500mAh battery.
Commenting on the launch, Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India said "The T33 smartphone has been developed and designed to overcome the fundamental problem of language barriers faced across India by giving them an option to choose from various languages to interact, engage, entertain and connect in their preferred language. We are sure that adding support for local language in the device will give an opportunity to our customers to communicate seamlessly."
Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India said "Language is one of biggest barriers that prevent people from using mobile phone functions exhaustively. This Smartphone has specifically been launched to enable vernacularization by serving the unique needs of Indian consumers across multiple markets. This does not only create a powerful medium for our consumers but also gives them a chance to interact, exchange views and communicate in a hassle-free environment."
