Motorola could be working on low-end Moto C and Moto C Plus smartphones

The Moto C and Moto C Plus could launch soon as the most affordable offerings from the smartphone maker.


Two days back we saw a leak around the Moto E4. Now there is yet another leak of a Moto device. A report claims that the earlier leaks were actually for the Moto C and the Moto C Plus, both of which will be low-end budget smartphones. A replacement maybe?

The information leaked by Evan Blass, reveals that the Moto C will feature a 5-inch 854x480 pixel touchscreen display, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP selfie camera its own LED flash, 1 GB of RAM, and a 2,350 mAh battery. It will have two variants, a 3G model with a 32-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 8 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, and a fixed-focus rear camera. The 4G variant on the other hand will have a 64-bit 1.1 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 16 GB of storage with a microSD card slot, and an autofocus rear camera.

As for the Moto C Plus, it will have a more modest 5-inch HD (1280x720) display, a 1.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor, 1 GB and 2 GB RAM variants depending on region, 4G LTE, 16 GB storage, a microSD slot, an 8 MP main camera, and a similar 2 MP selfie camera from the Moto C. It will however have a larger 4,000 mAh battery.

By the looks of the leaked image of the smartphone, it seems to be running on the same OS as we saw on the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, which means it could be running on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Both the handsets are expected to come in four colour options, gold, white, black and red. There is no information about the launch time frame or pricing as of now. We will keep an eye out in case any more information around the Moto C or Moto C Plus leaks.
