HTC to launch 8X, 8S with Windows Phone 8  in India next week

It seems that the rush of Windows Phone 8 equipped devices is just starting to begin for India fans. While Nokia’s Lumia 920 and 820 series could be launched in India by end of November, HTC is all set to launch 8X and 8S smartphones with Windows Phone 8 in India next week .

HTC’s India page on Facebook states,Next week we will be releasing the HTC Fall/Winter 2012 Collection devices. Any guesses what they might be? And in case you can’t guess_,_the post helpfully links to HTC’s India website which displays the HTC 8X device.

HTC had launched two new Windows Phone 8 smartphones, HTC 8X and HTC 8S inSeptemberin New York and now that Windows Phone 8 has been officially launched in India, the HTC devices are ready to hit the country’s stores.

So what are the key features of the HTC 8X and 8S?

HTC 8X: This smartphone has a Qualcomm S4 dual-core processor, clocked at a speed of 1.5 Ghz. This is the same processor as the Lumia 920. The smartphone also has 1 GB RAM, but comes with only 16 GB of space. It has 4.3 inch super LCD 2 Touchscreen with 720p HD resolution. The smartphone uses a Gorilla Glass 2 screen. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. and a 2.1 megapixel front camera which also supports 1080p camera recording. This smartphone is NFC enabled.

HTC 8S This one also comes with a Qualcomm S4 1 dual-core processor but this is clocked at 1Ghz.It has a total storage space of 16 GB, and has spaced for a Micro SD card slot to increase space. The RAM is less though, only 512 MB. It’s smaller phone though witha 4 inch Touchscreen with super LCD and WVGA resolution. Again it uses a Gorilla Glass screen. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. The video camera allows video recording at 720p. There is no front camera though

HTC also promises that both smartphones have an exclusive built in amplifier for Beats Audio, which will let users enjoy quality music.
