Gionee has introduced an upgraded version of its 2014 Pioneer P5L smartphone in India dubbed the Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016). The device is priced Rs 8,499 and is now available to buy via the company’s online store. The device will be available in black, blue, gold, red, white and yellow colour variants. The company confirmed the launch in a Facebook post .
In terms of specifications, the device features a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. The Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016) will include an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. Sensors on the phone include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. connectivity features include 4G, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and microUSB. A 2300mAh battery completes the package. The device is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 300 hours while on a 3G network.
