At its big launch event in New York, Acer today announced plenty of new hardware including laptops, 2-in-1, smartwatches and more. Among these were some rather interesting 4K monitors, projectors and even two new Predator series gaming monitors with Quantum Dot technology.
Acer at it launch event announced two new 4K UHD projectors that are said to deliver cinematic picture quality into homes.
The new projectors go by the model names H7850 and V7850 and are HDR and Rec. 2020 compatible that Acer claims will deliver true-to-life light and colour video. Also added to the feature set is Acer AcuMotion technology which makes for ultra-smooth visuals in fast action scenes, this is a common problem with projectors so it is indeed commendable that Acer has now tried to address it.
Coming to the new displays, Acer introduced its PE32oQK monitor that features HDR Xpert technology to bring out the finer details and provide better contrast. The 4K resolution monitor has been built from the ground up for professionals and features ZeroFrame designs with virtually minimal bezels with support for power delivery up to 85W. The monitor supports 130 percent of the sRGB and 95 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Indeed the world is gradually shifting to 4K even though content is still a bit lacking, but this is certainly not the case with gaming.
On the gaming side of things, Acer announced its Predator X27 gaming monitor with support for Nvidia G-Sync HDR at 4K resolution. Also announced was a Predator Z271UV with an 1800R curved panel.

Both monitors feature Quantum Dot technology that offer wider, brighter, and more accurate colours. Gamers would be happy to know that the X27 supports 99 percent of the Abode RGB colour space while the Predator Z271UV covers 130 percent of the sRGB colour space.
The monitors also offer Tobii eye-tracking technology that helps with aiming, shooting and easier exploration in an intuitive manner.
