Team India will be hoping to sign off from their white-ball tour of Australia on a high when they face the Mitchell Marsh-led hosts in the fifth and final T20I in Brisbane on Saturday. The Men in Blue began the tour on a shaky note with back-to-back defeats that cost them the ODI series, and were also trailing 0-1 in the T20I series after a washout in Canberra followed by a defeat in Melbourne.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team however, have fought back impressively since then, beating Australia by 5 wickets and 48 runs respectively in Hobart and Gold Coast respectively to find themselves 2-1 up with a game to spare .
India surrendered the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last winter after losing the five-Test series against Australia 3-1. Things hardly improved for the Men in Blue upon their return to Australian shores last month, with a consolation win in Sydney courtesy vintage knocks from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli helping them avoid a 3-0 whitewash.
India, however, will be hoping to fly out of Australia with a cheer and at least one trophy in their possession by completing a hat-trick of victories on Saturday. And with momentum firmly on their side after their stellar performances in the last two games , Surya and Co will certainly be arriving for the series finale in an upbeat state of mind.
