IPL 2026 Trade News & Updates: The IPL 2026 trade window is buzzing with rumours as franchises look to rebuild their squads ahead of the next season. Reports suggest that Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson could be on his way to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a sensational trade involving veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.
Samson to CSK?
While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, it was reported that CSK are looking to bring in Samson as a wicketkeeper-batter to replace MS Dhoni in the future. He may also get a leadership role at the franchise despite the fact that Ruturaj Gaikwad was handed the captaincy and was being seen as Dhoni’s successor.
CSK have reportedly proposed a trade involving Jadeja and Curran to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Samson . However, RR are said to be unhappy with the offer and are demanding Matheesha Pathirana, along with Jadeja, if they are to part ways with their captain.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that CSK were looking to bring in Washington Sundar to replace Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin in the squad. However, the Gujarat Titans franchise are not interested in releasing Sundar, who has performed well for them and for India in recent series.
KL Rahul to KKR?
Meanwhile, KL Rahul’s future at Delhi Capitals remains uncertain as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are looking to secure his services ahead of the next season. KKR, with their new head coach Abhishek Nayar, are looking to bring in a player with captaincy experience as they no longer see Ajinkya Rahane fit in the role.
Delhi Capitals have reportedly proposed an offer involving Rinku Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in exchange for Rahul. However, KKR don’t want to release Rinku, who has emerged as a big player in the recent past. Another offer made by DC was a combination of Harshit Rana and Raghuvanshi for Rahul.
