Team India will be hoping to sign off from their white-ball tour of Australia on a high when they face the Mitchell Marsh-led hosts in the fifth and final T20I in Brisbane on Saturday. The Men in Blue began the tour on a shaky note with back-to-back defeats that cost them the ODI series, and were also trailing 0-1 in the T20I series after a washout in Canberra followed by a defeat in Melbourne.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team however, have fought back impressively since then, beating Australia by 5 wickets and 48 runs respectively in Hobart and Gold Coast respectively to find themselves 2-1 up with a game to spare.
India surrendered the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last winter after losing the five-Test series against Australia 3-1. Things hardly improved for the Men in Blue upon their return to Australian shores last month, with a consolation win in Sydney courtesy vintage knocks from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli helping them avoid a 3-0 whitewash.
India, however, will be hoping to fly out of Australia with a cheer and at least one trophy in their possession by completing a hat-trick of victories on Saturday. And with momentum firmly on their side after their stellar performances in the last two games, Surya and Co will certainly be arriving for the series finale in an upbeat state of mind.
