According to Filmfare, the couple will begin the wedding festivities on an auspicious note by performing a puja on Thursday. They will also host a reception each in Delhi and Mumbai. The same report states that the party in Delhi is scheduled for 4 December. DNA writes that the expenditure for the accommodation and the various ceremonies is estimated to be around Rs 3.93 crore. While the main ceremony will take place at Umaid Bhawan, it was rumoured that pre-wedding ceremonies of haldi, mehendi and sangeet were scheduled to take place at Mehrangarh Fort. Owing to security reasons, the couple has now decided to host all the events at Umaid Bhawan itself. Times of India reports that the couple had wanted security around the palace and the fort. They have already hired a private security agency but also wanted police protection. Jodhpur Police reportedly refused as they needed manpower for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections.
