Marvel Studios released a brand new Captain Marvel poster featuring Brie Larson as the electrifying, positively glowing superhero.

The Oscar-winning actress stars in the first MCU film to feature a solo female superhero. The poster finds Captain Marvel showing off her superpowers with a spaceship and a fighter jet in the background.

A second trailer is expected to be unveiled later on Monday, reports Deadline. The first trailer for Avengers 4 might also finally see the light of day on 5 December, according to Cinema Blend.

Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel tells the story of Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA fuses with that of an alien, imbuing her with the powers of superhuman strength, energy projection, and flight.

Produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Jude Law Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, Annette Bening and Clark Gregg.

Three Marvel Studios titles are set to release in 2019: Captain Marvel on 8 March; the final chapter in the Avengers saga on 3 May; and Spider-Man: Far from Home on 5 July.
