Micromax’s upcoming smartphone, which is rumoured to be Yu Yureka Plus successor, has been spotted in a benchmark listing. The smartphone which currently goes by the name Yu YU5200 was listed on Zauba which also stated that the new device was shipped on March 21 from China.
According to the GFX Bench listings , the smartphones had a declared value of Rs 9,036 each. In terms of other features, another report pointed out a few specifications. One can expect a 5.2 inch screen, 4G and dual SIM support. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, similar to the Yureka Plus, and will have 3GB of RAM. It is also said to pack in Adreno 405 GPU, 16GB internal memory and expandable memory with a microSD card slot.
The phone expected to run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It will feature a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 5MP front facing camera. In terms of connectivity the phone will support 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, says the report.
This month, Micromax’s former CMO Shubhodip Pal joined back as the new COO of Yu Televentures. In his new role, Pal will help build engaged communities and closely work with developer’s community. He also comes with over 19 years of consumer marketing experience in launching, building and managing brands from consumer durables to the banking/financial, IT hardware sector and telecom services sector.
He has worked on the whole spectrum of marketing, specialising in product management, retail, marketing communications, media, sports and entertainment marketing, online and mobile marketing.
