Ubisoft tells gamers to get Lost!

We carried the Lost game story a couple of weeks ago as part of Rumor Control and it seems the rumors have finally been put to rest. Ubisoft Montreal (Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia) have picked up the rights to ABC’s hit serial Lost and are planning to develop the game for PCs, consoles and handhelds by 2007.

“Many of us on Lost have been hardcore gamers for years and the chance to work with Ubisoft, a company behind some of our favorite titles, has excited us to no end,” said executive producer of the show, Bryan Burk. “With the ability to tell new interactive stories within the Lost universe, we’re giddy to be developing a game that, once completed, will be as engaging and fun to play as it is to create.”

Will the game be an extension of the show? Will it branch off in another direction? Will it provide certain answers that the show couldn’t? Does anyone care? We’ve already stopped watching the TV show as we know its headed nowhere. lost2_t.jpg

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
