While Microsoft may have completely dropped the Nokia branding from the Lumia handsets after the launch of the Lumia 535 , it seems like the Finnish company is far from making new products. In a teaser tweeted out yesterday, Nokia claims that it is ‘up to something’ along side a picture of what looks like a mini PC like black box.
The announcement coincides with Finland’s Slush Conference which is a congregation of Eurasian tech startups and tech investors which is held on Helsinki, Finland. Nokia’s product business head Sebastian Nystrom, is set to unveil this product at 11.25 UTC which is around 5pm India time.

On first glance it looks quite similar to a Chromebox or an media streamer such as Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV. But you can only see a top portion of the device and it could be something completely different as well. Comments on the Nokia tweet are speculating it to be a set top box, a tiny PC, a streaming box, Windows 10 PC, Nexus Play and so on.
For all we know, it could just be a square box hiding some other product underneath it. It can’t be a phone for sure, as Nokia can’t put its brand name on smartphones till the end of 2016, and another decade on feature phones.
We will come to know what the real product is today evening.
