Microsoft is seeing success with Windows 10 OS and it recently launched its Creators Update for desktops and laptops, however Windows 10 Mobile is not that popular. But that hasn’t stopped Microsoft from upgrading its existing supporters to switch to the newer version of Windows 10 Mobile. Turns out Microsoft has made up its mind and is now rolling out the Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update to supported handsets even though it is a bit late .
As of today that list of supported handsets is really tiny. This would include:
HP Elite x3 Microsoft Lumia 550 Microsoft Lumia 640 Microsoft Lumia 640XL Microsoft Lumia 650 Microsoft Lumia 950 Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Alcatel IDOL 4S Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL SoftBank 503LV VAIO Phone Biz MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601 Trinity NuAns NEO
The update is now rolling across regions in waves, so owners may have to wait until they receive the notification.
As pointed out by Windows Central, the name is a bit odd as the update is not a big deal. In fact there are no new features like the desktop version, that actually make sense for creators.
The update consists of minor improvements and bug fixes, that should make your Windows 10 Mobile experience more stable.
Microsoft launched the new Creators Update for PCs on 11 April after it was first announced in October last year. As the name suggests, the new update is more for the art enthusiasts, but then there are other areas of improvement as well. The update brings new features and update to Paint, Edge browser, gaming and security.
On the desktop side of things, the Creators Update brings Game Mode, Night Light settings, the fancy new Paint 3D, Microsoft Edge with support for 360 degree videos, Windows Hello, Dynamic Lock and Picture in Picture.
