HTC's 8X, 8S launched for Rs 35,023 and Rs 19,260 in India

For all those who’ve been waiting to get their hands on a Windows Phone 8 device, there’s good news with HTC launching both the HTC 8X and 8S devices in India.

According to Tech2.com , the HTC 8X will cost Rs 35,023 while the HTC 8S will cost Rs 19,260.

Both smartphones run on Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 8 OS for mobile. Key features of the devices are as follows:

HTC 8X: This smartphone has a Qualcomm S4 dual-core processor, clocked at a speed of 1.5 Ghz. This is the same processor as the Lumia 920. The smartphone also has 1 GB RAM, but comes with only 16 GB of space. It has a 4.3 inch super LCD 2 Touchscreen with 720p HD resolution. The smartphone also sports a Gorilla Glass 2 screen. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a 2.1 megapixel front camera which also supports 1080p camera recording. This smartphone is NFC enabled.

HTC 8S: This one also comes with a Qualcomm S4 1 dual-core processor but this is clocked at 1Ghz.It has a total storage space of 16 GB, and has space for a Micro SD card slot to increase storage capacity. The RAM is less though: only 512 MB. It’s also a smaller phone with a 4 inch Touchscreen with super LCD and WVGA resolution. Again it uses a Gorilla Glass screen. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. The video camera allows video recording at 720p but there is no front camera.

HTC also promises that both smartphones have an exclusive built in amplifier for Beats Audio, which will let users enjoy quality music.
