The Parliament session of Parliament 2025 began on Monday and will continue till December 19, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced. The Prime Minister briefed the MPs at the start of the session. Meanwhile, opposition MPs raised slogans against Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, equality, income, the Red Fort blast, Delhi pollution and foreign policy.

Both the houses of the Parliament have been adjourned till 2 PM. In the lower house, opposition continued slogans over Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls and vote chori while the Upper house, saw uproar over Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s address targeting PM Modi's speech during the inaugural session of the Parliament. The winter session of Parliament will last from December 1 to 19, as announced by the union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju. This session is also the shortest parliament session held under the Modi government.

The government convened an all-party meeting before the session to discuss the agenda for the coming weeks. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor did not attend the party meeting as he was en route to Kerela.

Amid opposition’s uproar against Special Intensive Revision electoral rolls, Independent MP from Purnea, Pappu Yadav said that the democratic system should discuss issues such as SIR, pollution in Delhi and the rising AQI levels, education, employment, and internal security. He also added that there should be focus on farmers, employment, as there is economical collapse in the country.

NIA raids 8 locations in Kashmir in ‘white collar’ terror module linked to Delhi blast
NIA raided eight locations in J&K linked to the 'white terror' module involved in Delhi's Red Fort blast. Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay and Jasir Bilal Wani arrested for their roles in radicalizing and providing technical support to the terror module. Wani accused of planning drone attacks and developing crude rockets for coordinated blasts.
