The airstrike by Pakistan has drawn widespread condemnation. Afghan cricket stars Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi called the attack a “heinous and immoral crime”, mourning the loss of their fellow cricketers. Meanwhile, the ACB has pulled out of the upcoming T20I triangular series in Pakistan, where they were set to play alongside Sri Lanka.
The withdrawal now leaves the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) searching for new opponents, with reports suggesting a possible T20I series against Sri Lanka in January.
