Sunil Grover won't return to The Kapil Sharma Show anytime soon, claims Preeti Simoes
Kanpur Wale Khuranas producer Preeti Simones denies Sunil Grover joining The Kapil Sharma Show anytime soon since he is busy wrapping up Bharat.
Fans of comedians Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma are hoping for them to reunite for the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show. The reports of Grover returning to The Kapil Sharma Show are also doing rounds on social media. However, a report by Times of India clarifies that the reconciliation between the two is not going to happen anytime soon.
Grover, who is currently busy shooting for Salman Khan's Bharat, is occupied for the next two months. Grover is also busy planning his dates with Star Plus to wrap up the eight-episode show Kanpur Wale Khuranas which had started airing from 15 December. "Sunil is already pre-occupied with the shooting of his film and I don't think taking up any other show in the middle of it will be possible for him. In fact, we need dates from him to wrap up the last chunk of Kanpur Wale Khuranas and he doesn't have time. It is getting very difficult for us to get a date from him for the last schedule," says producer Preeti Simoes to Times of India.
After his fallout with Kapil in 2017, Grover left The Kapil Sharma Show and tied himself with his other work commitments. They also had a nasty Twitter war which hinted at their growing rivalry. However, they recently exchanged pleasantries on Twitter. Kapil had invited Sunil to his wedding reception in Mumbai, but the latter could not make it. Later, Sunil wished Kapil and his wife Ginni Chatrath on social media. These exchanges indicated that both of them are on cordial terms.
Meanwhile, The Kapil Sharma Show continues to reign supreme in its second week, garnering a massive rating of 9.1 million impressions. It holds the second position only behind the recently launched stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, which has garnered 9.7 million impressions.
In its last leg, Kanpur wale Khuranas is still on air. The upcoming episodes of the show will see some popular celebrities, like newlyweds Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap, Ajay Devgn, Govinda, and Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar.
The foundations of the two new additions to Welcome to the Blumhouse are inventive enough to distract from some sloppy construction.
