Shah Rukh Khan's reported exit from Saare Jahaan Se Achcha is 'fake news', claims writer of space drama

Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement in  Saare Jahaan Se Achcha is not a secret anymore. However, in the recent past, there were reports that the actor has  walked out of the project. But the writer of the film, Anjum Rajabali, later confirmed that the reports are untrue, clarifying that SRK is still very much a part of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. On being approached by a portal, Rajabali reportedly said to Cinestan, “No, it’s fake news.” [caption id=“attachment_4360009” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] Shah Rukh Khan. Image via Reuters[/caption] One of the main reasons cited for Shah Rukh Khan’s rumoured withdrawal from the project was that the actor was accommodating dates for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 . However, an official announcement on the space drama is expected in the next few months, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur had confirmed. The Rakesh Sharma biopic was  earlier offered to Aamir Khan , but the actor suggested SRK’s name instead, since he gathered that he would be appropriate for the role. Produced by Kapur, Saare Jahan Se Achha was scheduled to be shot in Goregaon Film City in Mumbai from next month. Farhan, on the other hand, teased a special announcement for 2019 at the _Gully Boy_ trailer launch. This had much of the media speculating that it might be something to do with Don 3. But the statement may also have been made about his upcoming boxing drama with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, titled Toofan .
