After 2013 Milkha Singh biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Farhan Akhtar is all set to play a boxer in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's forthcoming sports-drama

Farhan Akhtar, who stepped into the shoes of Olympian athlete Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra-directed sports biographical drama Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in 2013, will be reuniting with the filmmaker for another sports film titled Toofan, reported Mumbai Mirror. Akhtar will be playing the role of a boxer in the forthcoming movie.

A source informed the publication that the film is not going to be a biopic but a fictional story, which has been scripted by Anjum Rajabali. Further, the source said that Farhan would be training extensively in boxing for the project, which is set to go on floors sometime this year.
Apart from the Rakesh Omprakash Mehra film, Farhan will also be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink, where he plays a father to Zaira Wasim's Aisha Chaudhary, a girl who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13. Farhan will be seen alongside Priyanka Chopra in the film.
Furthermore, his film The Fakir of Venice, will finally see the light of day as it gears up for release on 18 January, 2019 — a decade after it was made.
Speculation is rife that Farhan will don the director's hat soon for the third installment of his sleuth-film Don, with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
