MTV's longest-running adventure reality show Roadies is gearing up for its new season, all set to premiere on 10 February. The makers have roped in former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh for the sixteenth edition of the show. Apart from Singh, TV star and winner of MTV Roadies X2 Prince Narula, rapper Raftaar, and MTV veteran Nikhil Chinappa will serve as the other gang-leaders. Neha Dhupia will also be back for the fourth time on the show.

In an interview with The Statesman, Sandeep Singh spoke about his collaboration with Roadies. “This is my first association with the show and the concept of finding real-life heroes propelled me. All of us have the potential to rise beyond the ordinary and make a difference and that’s what I believe. It’s going to be a new experience and I am eager to explore something I haven’t done before.”

The auditions for this season, dubbed Roadies: Real Heroes, began in Delhi on 5 January. This year, auditions will be held in Chandigarh, Indore and Pune, apart from Delhi.
