Drashti Dhami talks about her 'Koffee With Karan' experience: 'Not a validation for me'

As the new season of the popular chat show, Koffee With Karan approaches soon, a lot is being written and shared about the previous editions. Refreshing your memory, the famous television actress Drashti Dhami hit the couch during a special episode “Koffee Shots with the Empire”. She made an appearance alongside Kunal Kapoor and Drashti Dhami. During a recent conversation with India TV, Drashti Dhami shared her experience of being on the Koffee With Karan. When asked if she feels her appearance in Karan Johar’s show was a validation, the actress said yes. Drashti Dhami on being on Koffee with Karan Drashti Dhami further revealed that when her manager called her saying that he had blocked her team as she was going to be on Koffee With Karan, she said “ya ya whatever”. To which, the television actress’ manager said, “I am serious.” The actress further stated that she was obviously excited to be a part of the show, however, she was very nervous at the same time. She was quoted as saying, “I didn’t want anyone to take a dig at me there and also I wouldn’t tolerate it if someone pokes fun at me. It’s nice that I like to tell people that dude I was in Koffee With Karan. But, that’s not a validation for me being a superstar. I am still there where I was." Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol on Koffee With Karan 8 Another report in India Today suggests that Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol  will also be a part of the upcoming season, Koffee With Karan 8. Prior to this, the Deol brothers graced the Koffee With Karan couch during the first season of the show in 2005. Bobby Deol later made an appearance along with Preity Zinta during the second season in 2007. Going by the reports, others including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan have also filmed their respective episodes of Koffee With Karan. Another buzz regarding the show is that Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan will also appear in one of the episodes. Drashti Dhami’s professional commitments On the work front, Drashti Dhami will next star in the second season of the hit web series, Duranga.
