Bollywood heartthrob Sushant Singh Rajput left a big hole as he suddenly died on June 14, 2020. While his death was initially termed a suicide, some people have been saying that the Shuddh Desi Romance star was actually killed. The actor’s then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty also faced a lot of criticism and was even called names. The actress recently graced the second day of Mumbai Conclave 2023 on 5 October. Talking to media post-event, the actress opened up about how her life was never the same after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. When asked ‘if she ever provided drugs’ to Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea denied the accusations saying that she was done with this topic. The actress also said that people should focus on her mental health. “I don’t want to talk about drugs, I don’t want to talk about NCB. I don’t want to talk about CBI,” said the actress. She revealed that it has been difficult for her to lead a normal life and do even simple things such as taking a walk, going to a salon, and eating out with her parents. Rhea Chakraborty talked about what it was like when she was targeted post Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing away. “I was going through a person’s loss in my life and there was so much media attention. I wasn’t allowed time to grieve. All of that has come and those small victories are very exciting to me. I am grateful I am able to lead a normal life again now,” she said. Chakraborty also disclosed that she misses SSR. She said that it was going to be very difficult for her to live the rest of her life without that person who was her friend, partner and companion. She was quoted as saying, “But, life has happened to both of us and one has to move on." Chakraborty also stated that despite going through so much, she never thought of herself as a victim. She believed she was a survivor. According to the actress, the will to live is big enough to keep one going.
