Nawazuddin Siddiqui has a long string of films lined up in 2017.

In Manto, Siddiqui will play the mysterious poet and writer, and the glimpse of his look in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is really intriguing. Meanwhile, there's Munna Michael, which will feature him with Tiger Shroff in what looks like a dance film.

But it looks like the most different role of them all (and we say that with a pinch of salt, given this is Nawazuddin we're taking about) is his look in the Sridevi starrer Mom.

We only got a glimpse of the character in the teaser of the film, and we know that he plays a semi-bald, bespectacled character.

The actor talked to DNA about his role in the film.

He said, "We worked on the look for 15 days before we finalised it. The director Ravi Udyawar planned something different. Normally, the character is created first and then the look but for Mom, it was the other way round. We tried various looks with how my character would walk and talk and his mannerisms. We used prosthetics and the entire process would take almost three hours to put on and remove. Moreover, shooting in Mumbai and Delhi during the day, when it is incredibly hot."

Adds the actor, "Producer Boney Kapoor had planned to fly down make-up artists for the prosthetics, but they needed two months at a stretch, so instead, we went with artists, who trained in Los Angeles."

Though Siddiqui's appearance in the film is quite interesting, there are no updates about his role in the film.

The 60 seconds teaser of Mom also showcases his character for only a few seconds.
