Last year, Karan Johar announced his ambitious multi-starrer project Takht, which included actors Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The latest report by Mid-day suggests Bhumi and Vicky have been roped in for yet another Johar film and this one is going to belong to the horror genre. Further the report states that the project will be helmed by debutant Bhanu Pratap Singh.
Takht has a stellar star cast which includes Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor. Touted to be one of the biggest films by Karan Johar yet, Takht will be released in 2020. While talking to Mid-day, Bhumi said, “I feel honoured to share space with these brilliant actors.”
The actress also confessed that she has never been an insecure person and is not afraid of getting a limited screen time. For her, it’s the conviction that will make the role memorable.
Bhumi made her debut with Yash Raj Films in Dum Laga ke Haisha in 2015 and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her upcoming projects include Abhishek Chaubey’s dacoit film Sonchiriya , Alankrita Shrivastava’s comedy Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, co-starring Konkona Sen Sharma.
Vicky Kaushal’s last releases Manmarziyaan and Uri: The Surgical Strike have emerged successful at the box office.
