Thundering typhoons! Check out Brussels Airlines' Tintin-themed 'Rackham' airplane

If you’re a Tintin fan then this is one flight you might want to catch. Brussels Airlines has introduced an aircraft called ‘Rackham’, which is basically a regular Airbus A320 aircraft which for the first time ever is painted in a very cool Tintin theme.

The aircraft has been themed on the famous shark shaped submarine that Tintin uses in the comic book Red Rackham’s Treasure to scour the floor of the sea bed. Why a shark shape, you ask?

“Several Tintin designs were on the table during the planning phase of the project, but it became clear very soon that for both Moulinsart and Brussels Airlines, it had to be the shark, as no one expects a shark in the sky,” the airline said on its official website.

But it’s not just the outside of the aircraft that has Tintin on it. Even the inside does with even Captain Haddock making an appearance (well at least the back of his head) :

In case you aren’t a Tintin fan and haven’t read ‘Red Rackham’s Treasure’ the airline is providing it on the aircraft in three languages: Dutch, French and English. The airline’s also making it attractive for you to catch the airline if you’re in Europe any time soon. Enthusiasts who take photos of the aircraft and post it on Instagram could win a free trip in Europe.

And if you can’t catch the aircraft immediately (unfortunately the airline doesn’t fly to India), don’t worry, it’s going to be around till 2019.
