And when you go back, the first thing that your friend asks you, even if in jest is: Did you meet Shah Rukh Khan? Mumbai is almost synonymous with Bollywood, no wonder almost everyone who visit the city wants to catch a glimpse of their favourite Bollywood star.
Thanks to the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), you may now actually meetactors up close and personal in the city.
According to an article in DNA , almost a year since it was put on the back burner due to logistical issues, the MTDC is set to launch tourism packages where you can pose with your favourite actor, visit their homes as well as try outfits from movies.
The DNA report says that the tour packages start at Rs 400 and might go up to Rs 5,000. Thetourism corporation has already tied up with several film studios and are in talks with film personalities.
MTDC’s move comes months after theBrihanmumbai Municipal Corporation commissioned a logo for the city that is to be used in tourist spots. And it seems Mumbai is all set to give its tourism industry a face lift.
