With Gujarat’s Jamnagar all decked up for the festivities, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant finally kicked off their pre-wedding festivities on the evening of March 1. The star-studded event was the talk of the town but what took the Internet by storm were the clips of global singing sensation Rihanna setting the evening ablaze with her electrifying performance. The powerful stage presence of Rihanna visibly left the audience thrilled and sparked extensive discussions across the social media handles.

Rihanna made her India debut with a scintillating performance that included her many hit numbers such as We Found Love, Work, Rude Boy, Bitch Better Have My Money, and Umbrella among others.

Dazzling in an ensemble that featured a sheer sparkling neon green kurta-style silhouette and a thigh-high slit in the front with minimal ruffle detailing, Rihanna looked at ease as she grooved on the stage. The unique silhouette completely matched her high-octane performance. She also wore an oversized coat and paired it with a veil tied around her waist. The pop icon elevated her contemporary look with some fine jewellery pieces.

In the middle of the performance, Rihanna also extended her wishes to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant while expressing her gratitude to the Ambani family for inviting her to India. “I am here tonight in honour of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. Bless your union. Wishing you all the best. Congratulations,” said Rihanna.

In another video, paparazzi were seen cheering for Rihanna as she arrived at the airport to leave back for her home. The 9-time Grammy winner interacted with the paparazzi at the airport who were cheering for her post her thrilling performance last night. The paparazzi said, “Welcome to India,” to which she replied, “Thank you” and even went on to say, “I love India”. She also expressed her wish to be back here some other day.
