‘Life has not been bed of roses’: Anant Ambani’s speech at pre-wedding event leaves Mukesh Ambani teary-eyed

The pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, besides being a star-studded affair with international VVIP guests arriving in Jamnagar, are also a celebration of emotions, family, love, and traditions. Quite apparent on Day 1 of the celebrations on Friday night, Anant Ambani is a man of emotions and it wouldn’t be wrong to state that humble is his middle name, as displayed in the video that is currently going viral on the Internet. In an emotional speech, Anant Ambani thanked his parents, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, crediting them for all that he is, today.

Anant Ambani, while delivering the speech, was joined on stage by fiancée Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare. He started by thanking his mother for putting together the grand three-day celebrations in Gujarat’s Jamnagar and said, “Thank You mom for all that you’ve done… All this is created by my mother and no one else. My mother has gone all out… she has worked I think for 18-19 hours a day. I am extremely grateful to mom and thank you so much.”

Anant goes on to thank his father and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, his siblings, and their spouses for making the event memorable for him and his soon-to-be wife, Radhika. In what portrayed his down-to-earth demeanour, Anant further apologised to his guests for any inconvenience they encountered. He said, “I know everyone has made it to Jamnagar to make me and Radhika feel special. We are all honoured and humbled to have all of you here. I am sorry if we have caused any inconvenience to anyone.”

Then came the emotional moment for both Anant and Mukesh Ambani as the soon-to-be groom expressed the difficulties that he faced due to health issues and how his parents encouraged him to outgrow them. Anant said, “As many of you know, my life has not always been entirely a bed of roses. I have also experienced the pain of thorns. I faced many health crises since childhood but my father and mother have never let me feel that I have suffered. They have stood by me and my father and mother made me feel if I can think, I’ll do it. I am eternally grateful.”

Anant’s heart-warming speech left his father emotional and he can be shedding tears of joy in the video. Meanwhile, Anant and Radhika are all set to wed each other later this year.
