PayPal to be integrated as default payment option for transactions on iOS devices

PayPal has announced that it will be partnering up with Apple to make their payment system available on iOS for transactions made on the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Music. Before today users in the US could only access PayPal on their Mac's and Windows PC while configuring their iTunes account. Now the feature will also be available on iOS alongside it being introduced in 11 new countries including Spain, Italy, Israel, France, the U.K., Australia, and Germany.

The roll out initially began with Canada and Mexico and eventually was live to the rest of the countries. Once the feature is activated all in-app purchases and subscriptions can be paid through PayPal with their Apple account, no matter what device they’re using . It will be added as a direct payment option on iOS, which was not available previously.

Both new and existing customers will be able to switch their account to use PayPal as the default method when the feature goes live in their market. PayPal is also thinking integrating with Siri for adding One Touch technology to support the new Apple ID account integration. This will lead to a much faster and easier transaction process.
