An emotional Kiran Bedi, after losing in the Delhi polls from BJP stronghold Krishna Nagar, said in a press conference on Tuesday that she had, in fact, not lost.
“I haven’t lost. I would’ve lost if I hadn’t given my best,” said Kiran Bedi, adding that this was BJP’s loss. However, earlier Bedi, in the same speech had said, “I am a defeated candidate today.” We wonder if Kiran Bedi thinks ’lost’ and ‘defeated’ are two different things.
Bedi also said she takes full responsibility for BJP defeat in the Delhi polls. “I apologise to Modiji for not living upto the trust BJP gave to me.” Yet, she was adamant on the point that it was BJP’s loss in the Delhi polls and not her loss.
As if this was not enough, Kiran Bedi made it a point to mention the fact that BJP did not ask for any money from her. “Party didn’t ask for any money from me. It accepted me the way I am. I am thankful for all the respect and love I’ve received from the party and the leadership,” she said.
Twitter instantly took note of the absurd statements made by Kiran Bedi as people criticised her for her ‘I haven’t lost’ remark and trolled her for it. Here are some of the hilarious tweets:
