Oh, come on! If Superman can wear a tight tee with ‘S’ emblazoned across the chest, why can’t our Prime Minister pray? Remember those very fashionable people in the pre-poll days wearing tee shirts with ‘NaMo’ written on them? Our Prime Minister just made them cool by wearing a suit with his own name scribbled all over it.
Here’s your moment to close your hanging jaw and take a quick swig of water. Or whatever helps you calm down.
And no, PM Modi wasn’t suddenly inspired by white tourists in kaftans which have ‘hare krishna hare ram’ or ‘om namah shivaya’ scribbled all over them. In fact, he just gave the world a glimpse of what ‘Make in India’ is all about. So a suit customized in India would have that extra personal touch, will be theft resistant and will never be mixed up with others’ clothes at the laundry - it will have your full name scribbled over to resemble stripes, if you blindly follow Modi.
According to reports, the pinstripe ‘bandhgala’ suit that Modi wore when he met Obama for ‘chai pe charcha’, had his name written all over on it.
They looked like stripes but it was actually the words “Narendra Damodardas Modi” printed in tiny block letters on the Prime Minister’s suit.
Now imagine, in India, with those long names and pet names, you can create an entire wedding trousseau with just your names instead of flowers, peacocks and impersonal shapes for embroidery!
However, not everyone is flattered by the PM’s fashion invention. Following are a few tweets expressing shock over it.
Yesterday Modi wore a bandhgala with white stripes. Except the stripes were ‘Narendra Modi’ written over and over pic.twitter.com/BuXzOvrRNX

Narcissistic much?
Well, Twitter thinks so anyway.
Modi is such a narcissist. He wrote his name all over his suit. Dignified people just name Parks, Stadiums, Airports... after their names.

Modi's "pinstripes" suit takes bespoke to a level of speechlessness!

Twitter also said that Modi wasn’t the first leader to wear such a suit. It was in fact, Egypt’s ousted President Hosni Mubarak.
Oh, Modi was just copying Hosni Mubarak. That makes it so much better. RT @Vidyut @siddharth3: @samar11 http://t.co/Fp7kNpBwiG
