Haryana Police on Thursday arrested Dilawar Singh Insan, a close aide of Gurmeet Ram Rahim near Sonepat for his involvement in the Panchkula violence that last month after the self-styled godman's conviction in a rape case on 28 August.

Thirty people were killed and over 250 injured after which curfew was imposed in Panchkula and several other places.
The Dera Sacha Sauda chief, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison, is currently serving his punishment at Sunaria jail in Rohtak district in Haryana. Police also arrested the religious sect's IT head from Sirsa on Wednesday, who was identified as Vineet.
According to media reports, Sirsa police seized 60 such hard disks on the basis of information provided by Vineet.
Last week, the authorities conducted searches at the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters near Sirsa town in Haryana on three consecutive days with hundreds of security personnel and local administration involved in the exercise. Meanwhile, the police are also on the lookout for Honeypreet Singh Insan, the adopted daughter of Ram Rahim Singh.
Her photographs have been pasted at police stations bordering Nepal and the law and order machinery is on high alert in these areas.
