Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker in The Dark Knight earned him a posthumous Oscar and won him alot of fans. Heath Ledger's untimely death shocked everyone, and he left a whole slew of his fans miserable.
A documentary about the life of Heath Ledger is set to be released later this month, featuring never-before-seen footage of the late actor and interviews with his family, friends, and colleagues.
Titled I Am Heath Ledger, the film will debut at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on 23 April. The first trailer was released yesterday - on what would have been the actor's 38th birthday - and shows his friend, musician Ben Harper describing Ledger as 'the most alive person.'
The director Ang Lee, who worked with the actor on Brokeback Mountain, added "Even as a supporting actor he will steal the whole show, that is the power of Heath Ledger."
Others to feature in the documentary include his sister Kate, childhood friends, actor Ben Mendelsohn and filmmaker Matt Amato.
Filmmaker Matt Amato talks about him, "He wanted fame, but when he got it, he didn't want it."
Ledger's sister Kate appears to discuss how coy he was when she revealed that she believed he would be nominated after playing major roles, saying: "He just smiled."
A series of clips showing Heath filming on different cameras are also shown, with his desire to one day become a filmmaker are discussed.
