Arjun Rampal named in assault complaint; fan alleges actor threw camera at his head

Arjun Rampal, who is currently shooting for his titular role in the Arun Gawli biopic Daddy has found himself in the news for an unsavoury reason.

A complaint of assault was filed against the actor in Delhi on Saturday.

The complaint was filed by one Shobhit (last name not known at this time) who alleged that Rampal threw a camera at his head, and injured him.

The incident reportedly took place at a Connaught Place five star hotel. Rampal was DJing at a lounge there.

Shobhit was partying at the lounge and tried to take photos of Rampal.

However, when Rampal noticed this, he allegedly became emraged and grabbed the camera out of Shobhit’s hands, hurling it back at his face. In the process, the camera hot Shobhit on the head and he an injury.

“I don’t know why Arjun Rampal threw the camera at me,” Shobhit told CNN-News18 . He further alleged inaction on the part of the police and hotel staff, saying “police are not cooperating at all”.

The police have said that the complainant has not sustained a serious injury.

Arjun Rampal’s last release was Kahaani 2, in which he starred a s a policeman along side Vidya Balan.
