Renault recently launched the AMT version of its quick and snappy hatchback Kwid. While it has seen a good customer response, the car maker has announced a new variant called the Kwid Climber.
According to a report the Kwid Climber, which was showcased at the Auto Expo last year, has received a lot of queries thus the company launched the new variant. It will be offered in 1.0 litre petrol engine and in both a 5-speed manual and automated manual transmission (AMT). As for the trim, it will be offered over the top-end RXT (O) variant in manual transmission.

So what’s new? Well mostly there are cosmetic changes including new dual-tone colour finish. The side mirrors, roof rails and bash plate get a special orange colour treatment. It sits on a new set of six spoke wheels and on the inside there is new orange upholstery, vibrant orange accents on the AC vents and the centre fascia, a two-tone orange gear knob and orange door trim. Other features include power windows, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, seatbelt pretensioner and driver side airbag.
The 1.0 litre engine is tuned to produce 67 bhp and develops 91 Nm of torque. It will also be offered in Electric Blue, Outback Bronze and Planet Grey colour variants. Bookings have begun ad all Renault dealerships while pricing starts at Rs 4.30 lakh for the 5-speed manual variant and Rs 4.60 lakh for the AMT version.
