Autumn colours are peaking in many parts of the United States. As cardigans and the scarves come out of mothballed closets, the leaves are a riot of the warmest tones of red and rust, orange and sepia. This annual cascade makes for heavenly photo backdrops, weekends of raking, mugs of hot chocolate and dreaming of pumpkin pie.
Leaf peeper tourism peaks in October in Canada and the United States and between April and May in the southern hemisphere. The US Forest Service has a well updated map on where colours are peaking right now. Firstpost brings you some snapshots.
