Pahalgam massacre: Agencies release pictures of 4 suspected terrorists, 1 already eliminated

Security agencies have released photos of four men suspected to be behind the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. Officials said one of them has been eliminated, while a search is on for the others.

Security agencies have released photographs of four suspected terrorists who were involved in the deadly Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists from across the country.

According to officials, one of the four suspects has already been eliminated during ongoing operations in the region. A massive manhunt is still underway in Pahelgam region to trace and neutralise the remaining attackers

The picture was found on the mobile phone of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Junaid Ahmad Bhat.

He was killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Dachigam area in December.

According to the Kashmir Police, the terrorist—identified as local Lashkar commander Junaid Ahmad Bhat—was involved in civilian killings in Gagangir, Ganderbal, and several other terror attacks.

4-6 terrorists still hiding in Pahalgam hills, says report

Around 4 to 6 terrorists are believed to be hiding in the hills near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 civilians were killed in a terror attack, according to a report from News18.

Security forces have launched a search operation to track them down.

Lashkar offshoot ‘The Resistance Front’ claims responsibility

The Resistance Front , a group linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack.

The bodies of the 26 tourists killed were brought to Srinagar today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived soon after the attack, paid tribute by laying wreaths on their coffins at the Police Control Room.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his Saudi Arabia visit and returned to Delhi on Wednesday to hold an emergency meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
