Brin while showcasing Google Glass at a TED talk had said on smartphones, “I feel like it’s kind of emasculating. You are just rubbing this featureless piece of glass. There isn’t anything to feel.”

Finally, the TED Talk video of Sergey Brin calling smartphones emasculating has been leaked. You can watch the full video above. For those of you who are late to the party, Brin, while showcasing Google Glass at a TED talk, had said on smartphones, “I feel like it’s kind of emasculating. You are just rubbing this featureless piece of glass. There isn’t anything to feel.”

Brin had also asked, “Is this the way you’re meant to interact with other people?” In the video, Brin is also questioned about the fake Google Glass that was being sold on eBay and he said he wouldn’t really trust it.

Brin also talks about how the Glass project began and how the initial prototypes were very large, almost like ‘cellphones strapped to your head and were really uncomfortable.’ Brin says that when the project started a little over two years ago, they had to keep it a big secret even from their industrial designer until she accepted the job.
