ZTE has launched a new smartphone in India making a re-entry into the country’s smartphone market. The company (not to be confused with Nubia) has been missing from the market for a while now and today it launched the Blade A2 Plus in India priced at Rs 11,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart from 6 February onwards.
The handset sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 4GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further with a microSD card as the handset offers a hybrid dual-SIM card tray.
Other features include a 13MP camera shooter on the back with a dual LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter. It features a metal body finish and a fingerprint scanner at the back.
Connectivity options include LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and a microUSB port. The most attractive feature of the smartphone is its 5,000mAh battery which should easily last a whole day.
Considering the number of budget smartphones in the market available today, the Blade A2 Plus will face tough competition from devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 , Lenovo P2 and the LeEco Le2 .
