LG has started shipping units of its X Power 2 mid-range smartphone globally. Aptly titled, the X Power 2, it packs in a massive 4,500mAh battery and was first announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) back in February.
While the phone was expected to make its way to markets by June , LG has announced that the units have already started shipping. The first markets to receive the mid-range smartphone will be North America, followed by Asia, Europe, Latin America and the other regions.
The smartphone is expected to be priced at KRW 300,000 or $265 (Rs 18,000 approximately) and packs in a 5.5-inch HD display on the front.
Inside, owners will get a 1.5 GHz octa-core chipset with 1.5 GB and 2 GB RAM variants, both of which pack in 16 GB of internal storage. While that may seem a bit too little, the smartphone also offers storage expansion with support for micro SD cards of up to 2 TB in size.
Coming to the cameras, the device offers a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing unit that includes a soft LED flash for selfies.
All of the above is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that also supports fast charging. LG claims that the battery can go from 0 charge to 50 percent charge in an hour and 100 percent in two hours.
The phone will be available in Black Titan, Shiny Gold, Shiny Blue and Shiny Titan colours.
