LG has decided to take the wraps off yet another watch before the MWC 2015 kicks off. The company has now announced an LTE-based version of the Watch Urbane . However, details of its price and availability are likely to be released only during the official launch at the MWC.

Urbane closely resembles the company’s LG Watch R  that was launched in October 2014. However, unlike the Watch R or Watch Urbane, this one runs webOS instead of Android Wear, reports Cnet . The software details are still unclear as the company only mentions LG Wearable Platform as the OS in the official press note.

The Urbane LTE sports a 1.3 plastic-organic-light-emitting diode circular display with an always-on “ambient mode.” It also comes powered by the same 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 4GB of storage.

Though Urbane LTE is a variant of the Watch Urbane, it has some key differences. Firstly, LTE connection enables the device to make and receive calls as well as text messages independently. It gets a larger 700mAh battery, sprucing up the time in standby mode. It also includes support for NFC.

Besides, LG has fitted in three physical buttons on the right side of the smartphone. The top button can be used to access settings, center button to switch between the watch and apps, the lower button serves as a ‘back’ button to return to the previous screen.

While the Urbane will be available in gold and silver, LG will be reportedly releasing the Urbane LTE  only in silver. Both Watch Urbane and Urbane LTE will be showcased at the MWC 2015.
