Taking his cue from PM Narendra Modi’s Digital India programme, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said a new digital policy for the state would be announced by March.
The chief minister was speaking at a function to mark the announcement of the first ‘digital village’ in the country developed by financial services giant ICICI group.
The digital village was dedicated to the nation by Modi at the evening programme.
Earlier, the chief minister had said that the state government was working out ways to provide online all the facilities it today offers people.
“We will very soon announce the date of commencement of this programme,” he had said last month.
