Asus, under the Republic of Gamers brand (ROG), has launched the Mars 760—a graphics card that uses two GeForce GTX 760 GPUs. Going by pure numbers the Mars 760 should theoretically dethrone even Nvidia’s crown jewel—the GTX Titan. Asus claims that the graphics card’s gaming performance is 6 percent better than the Titan when running BioShock Infinite, 14 percent when running Crysis 3 and a whopping 39 percent when running this year’s Tomb Raider. The graphics card is available for Rs 49,500 from Asus’s retail partners.

Mars 760 is a two-slot card that’s packed with many of Asus’ own technologies, including DirectCU II for a 20 percent cooler operation, DIGI+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) for stable power delivery and GPU Tweak, a utility that lets users push the two GTX 760 GPUs to extremes by allowing relatively easy and safe overclocking. It features 4GB of GDDR5 video memory and is capable of pumping out high graphics performance with stable frame rates at resolutions as high as 2560 x 1600.

The DirectCU II technology puts 8 highly-conductive copper cooling pipes in direct contact with both GPUs. These pipes provide efficient cooling, allowing the Mars 760 to run at 20 percent less heat when compared to Nvidia’s reference GeForce GTX 690 cards. It also features dual 90mm dust-proof fans to allow for further airflow. The DIGI+ voltage-regulation module features a 12-phase power design that reduces power noise by 30 percent and enhances efficiency by 15 percent.

Japanese-made black metallic capacitors offer 20 percent better temperature endurance for a lifespan Asus claims is up to five times longer. The card is also built with heard-wearing polymerized organic-semiconductor capacitors (POSCAPs) and has an aluminium backplate further lowering power noise, increasing durability, enhancing overclocking possibilities and improving stability.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
