The open beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be available to all from 23-27 February. In preparation for the launch, however, you can start preloading the game right now.
First, you’ll need to head to the Ghost Recon: Wildlands home page and RSVP for the Open Beta reminder. Then you’ll need to log in to UPlay on PC (download from here) and start preloading the game.
You can also preload the game on PlayStation and Xbox in a similar fashion.
If you’re worried about bandwidth and hitting your FUP cap, the game is 23.55GB on PC, 21GB on PS4 and 20.5GB on Xbox One.
If you’re wondering what Ghost Recon: Wildlands is, it’s a kind of open-world, co-operative tactical shooter that pits your team of ‘ghosts’ – an elite military unit with access to cutting edge technology – against the biggest baddies in the world.
In the game, you and up to 3 other friends can join in for some tactical shooting mayhem.
The game is set in Bolivia, where a drug cartel has taken over the country, transforming it into the largest producer of cocaine in the world. The US gets involved when a bomb targets the US Embassy in La Paz and a DEA agent is kidnapped, tortured and killed.
You, as the Ghosts, are tasked with eliminating the cartel in any way that you see fit.
The game will launch on 7 March and will be available on Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.
