Bungie has released the latest patch for Destiny and accidentally nerfed some perks and weapons

Bungie’s HotFix 2.5.0.2 for Destiny introduces a great number of bug fixes and balance changes to this rather popular multiplayer game. Sadly, the developer seems to have accidentally introduced a bug that affects perks across many classes.

The update was meant to include, among other things, a patch for Bladedancer’s Hungering Blade perk. This perk would let the Bladedancer class immediately regenerate health and shield in situations where it was at negligible health. The patch intended to fix this by giving a flat amount of shield and health regeneration and delaying the shield recharge.

Unfortunately, it seems that the patch has also affected similar perks on other classes that weren’t meant to receive that nerf. The affected perks and classes include Transfusion (Striker Titan), Cauterize (Sunbreaker Titan), Lifesteal (Voidwalker Warlock) and more, reports SegmentNext.

Bungie has acknowledged the bug, and were apparently aware it before the patch’s release. They claim to have released it anyway because they believed that the rest of the patches were more important for the community than a delay to the patch’s release. You can find the official  patch notes here.

The bug will be fixed in a future update.
