Indian officials said the raid destroyed a training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed, the militant group behind a suicide attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir that killed 40 members of a paramilitary police force on 14 February. The news of the pre-dawn strike broke early on Tuesday, when Pakistan military spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed on Twitter that their forces had sent back Indian aircraft which had intruded from Muzaffarabad sector.
